So recently, I remembered Livejournal was a thing and went pillaging my old account only to run across this list. With a few minor touch ups, I have updated it to include characters I have played since I first made it. Note this isn't necessarily a list of characters I currently WANT to play, but a list of ones I have at some point. The majority were NOT played on Dreamwidth, but I'll link the accounts of the ones that were.

Greetings, those who would speak to me. I am not quite as inexperienced as I was when I took my first but I still feel like there is a ton that I don't know about this style of roleplaying. Place comments you feel I must see here, and perchance I shall respond to them.

Canon Source: Arcana Heart
Canon Format: Video Game
Character's Name: Lieselotte Achenbach
Character's Age: 10
Birthday: October 4th
Pronunciation: Just so you don't forget, her name is pronounced in four syllables. Lee-zuh-lot-tuh. Lee as in Bruce Li or Chun Li, Zuh with the u sounding like in the word mud, lot, pronounced like it looks, tuh like the second syllable. Feel free to give her shorter nicknames for IC purposes though. She MIGHT not remove your skin for it! <3

Lieselotte carries an NV that looks similar to a cellphone and would be easy to confuse for one. It is her favorite color, red.

Character's Canon Abilities: Being infused with magic granted her numerous abilities. Magic comes easily to her, though she has hardly been in any position to learn a more traditional kind. Magical artifacts that use her power would find her an outstanding source of energy, though she does not own such things for herself as of the time I am bringing her into the world.

By staring directly into someone's eyes at close range, she can throw a person's mind into chaos, making it nearly impossible to form a coherent thought and even going so far as to make it difficult for a person to control their own body. This must be done in person, it has no effect if recorded or done over a surveillance camera or the like. The duration of this ability is extremely brief, slightly variable depending upon the mental ability of the person in question but rarely reaching double digit seconds. It has no effect on something that doesn't have a mind of its own, though it IS capable of confusing human-like machines. (although it working on the robot in the game is possibly just a gameplay thing)

Her Arcana is the Arcana of Darkness, Gier. She is able to call upon his powers through a brief ritual where she sheds a few drops of her own blood to allow him to materialize in a tangible form. His body takes on the shape of a a form vaguely like a giant shell-less snail, his body black as shadow. His body is easily altered however, changing in size, shape, and density. He could easily squeeze flat to sneak under a door and then grow to a larger size. Primarily, he assists Lieselotte in her job by acting as a distraction, leaping onto her targets and changing itself so it has teeth to bite them with, becoming gummy and entangling the feet of someone trying to flee, and, if it comes down to it, just stabbing someone by assuming a shape like a sharp blade. He tends to move relatively slowly, but is capable of sudden burst of speed, and is always capable of making himself appear near Lieselotte. His most dangerous ability, however, is the ability to briefly transform a person. By trapping a person's body inside of his own, he is able to expel their mind into a small duplicate of himself, effectively changing a person into a little black blob for a brief period of time. The changed person retains their mental capacities, however their actual body is trapped inside the body of the arcana. The transformed victim doesn't gain any of Gier's morphic abilities. The duration of this is brief, 10 seconds or less, and can be ended prematurely by attacking Gier to release the body. While doing this, Gier cannot do anything, even move. Once it ends or is forced to end, the transformed victim is absorbed back into Gier, regardless of how far away their shadow body managed to get in hose seconds, and expelled with their mind and body intact. This actually does no harm to them whatsoever, it cannot be used to kill anyone. However, once the person and their body are reunited, they feel any pain inflicted on their shadow form, though they actually do not suffer any wounds at all.

The arcana is only one half of her fighting style however. In addition to the dark creature, she also fights alongside the doll that she believes to be possessed by the spirit of her sister, an incomplete construct of wood that bears the same name as her actual sister, Elfriede. In actuality, it is a combination of her own magical ability and a magical stone embedded in the doll's body which allows it to move. Despite the fact that it has no mind of its own, it would be difficult to be able to tell this as it seems to move of its own free will, able to crawl on its arms (it lacks legs to walk on), make surprisingly agile leaps through the air and even do short range teleportation. In addition, even if damaged to seemingly beyond repair, Elfriede is able to pull itself back together over time. Lieselotte can even speak through this doll, in a raspy, manic voice. Her own unbalanced mind has convinced her that the voice is that of her sister, however.

Weapons: She will be carrying three things with her into the port which could be considered weapons. The first, of course, is the arcana that lives inside of her, Gier. The second is the animated doll Elfriede. The last is a large suitcase that she carries Elfriede in. It might not sound like a weapon, but she's been known to smack people around with it in a pinch so it technically counts!

Character Information

General
Canon Source: Arcana Heart
Canon Format: Video Game
Character's Name: Lieselotte Achenbach
Character's Age: 10
Conditional: If your character is 13 years of age or under, please clarify how they will be played. Liese is a girl who is used to living on her own and is more then capable of taking care of herself. However, I am working under the assumption that a child drawn into the port wouldn't just be dumped on the streets to fend for herself, so I have someone lined up already to take her in.

What form will your character's NV take? Something nice and practical, a little hand-held device that would be easy to mistake for a cell phone if one didn't know it was an NV.

History/Personality/Plans/etc.
Character History: The world that Liese comes from is one where magic is commonplace primarily do the the fact that it is adjacent to a world referred to as the Elemental Plane. In this other world, beings that humans named Arcana exist, each embodying something. Some embody something tangible, like fire or water while others personify less obvious things, such as the concept of sin or the power of magnetism. Many of these creatures found compatible partners within the human population, granting the human of their choice their power, though it seemed only females were compatible with an arcana's magic. Naturally where there is power, however, there is greed. It wasn't long before those who would abuse the power of the arcanas started working in the shadows. An organization calling itself the Drexler Institute began seeking ways to artificially give magical power to humans. Working entirely outside of the public eye, they began infusing human girls with large amounts of ether power, ether being a word interchangeable with magic in this case. The early results proved to be disastrous failures. The girls were able to access magic without an arcana, however they were disfigured, their bodies taking on a look like an albino, skin becoming pale, hair and eyelashes fading into white, and eyes taking on a crimson color. Even worse was the vicious cut in life expectancy, none of the original test subjects lived long after their infusion.

As the years passed by they began to perfect the process, slowly creating girls with more powerful access to magic but still unable to find a way to give them a full life. This changed one day when one of the head scientists, Dr. Achenbach (who is given no first name in canon) made a discovery that, while it would still alter the girl's appearances, should allow the test subject to live a full life. However, no test subjects were available when this discovery was made. Dr. Achenbach was ordered to use his own daughters, Elfriede and Lieselotte, for the experiment. He had already had reservations about the project and had been desperately seeking an answer to avoid ending the lives of any more girls, but when ordered to offer up his own family, he refused. Doing so was the last thing he ever did. His daughters were fortunate that his work had been done so well. Though the two of them bore the albino features of previous attempts, their lives were not cut short. There was an unexpected side effect however. Both of them found their memories in a jumble, the process affecting Elfriede so bad she could not even remember her own name. Lieselotte was only slightly better off, able to recall that she was 'Lieselotte Achenbach' but unable to remember much of anything about the person that name applied to. Infused with ether magic, they became living weapons. With the process close to perfected, the Drexler Institute decided to see how the girls handled the real world and unceremoniously tossed them out in different parts of the world to examine the results. Elfriede, the older sister, found herself in Moscow and was taken in, ironically, by people who fought to prevent the abuse of Arcana powers. Lieselotte was not so fortunate.

There is a large portion of her memories missing and during these events that she is unable to remember, she took up the life of an assassin. Her primary assassination tool of choice was an incomplete doll that, with her mind in its confused state, she convinced herself contained the soul of her sister. It was actually being animated by a combination of her own artificially granted magical power and the fact that inside of its body was a gemstone infused with ether. The darkness that had taken root in her heart attracted the attention of an Arcana, a creature with a malleable body named Gier. Gier was an arcana that represented the very essence of dark emotions. There is nothing in canon that says why she took up this lifestyle, but it seems safe to assume her creators had something to do with it. She did not fail to live up to their expectations. The name 'Lieselotte Achenbach' became known world-wide, and not for a good reason. World-wide there were warrants for her arrest and yet she managed to elude capture. She commanded top dollar and before long had enough wealth to simply disappear and live her life in peace. But she did not. The life of an assassin was all she knew now. She had no family or past to call her own. She had only her infamy, and the feeling of making other people as unhappy as she was.

Eventually she took on a job that began to see her change ever so slightly. She was hired to kidnap a girl named Heart, so her blood could be used to power a ritual to allow the two worlds to merge into one. She succeeded in doing so, but in the end the ritual never finished. Instead, the woman who had hired her, a member of an organization that was supposed to protect people from misused elemental plane power, was defeated, with some help from Lieselotte herself. Instead of helping to completely alter her world into an unrecognizable state, she helped save it instead. Despite the fact that she'd kidnapped her, Heart was quick to befriend the young girl. Since her memories started, she had never had a friend. Though it wasn't enough to convince her to lay aside her lifestyle, she made a little exception in the back of her head to be less cold to this one particular girl.

Not long after this, she was approached by someone who was working in a different branch of the same organization that the woman she'd help stop was in. The offer was simple and difficult to refuse. There was a large unidentified build-up of ether around Tokyo and, if she were help to figure out and deal with the cause, she would receive full pardon for the crimes she'd committed in Japan, provided she didn't commit any further within the country. She agreed both for the right to have a 'safe haven' to live in, and to be able to spend more time with her new friend. The source ended up being the 'older' sister of the previous offender, a girl who had fallen into the other world and ceased aging. While a fight ended up happening, the whole matter resolved relatively peacefully.

There is a third game in the series, however I am not going to draw anything from it as of the time of this app. I may later canon update her to include the events of this third game, where she learns about herself, but they are not included in the character as she is being apped.

Point in Canon: Between the second and third games of the series.
Conditional: Brief summary of previous RP history:

Character Personality: Lieselotte is half-way between cold-hearted and soft-hearted. She generally doesn't care about anyone other then herself. This isn't to say she just doesn't like people, she literally doesn't care if someone she doesn't know lives or dies. If someone were to tell her about a tragedy they had heard about on television, it would be of no interest to her. The suffering of other people doesn't make her feel much of anything. Sometimes, she's even been known to enjoy it.
To those that don't know her, she might seem shy. She seems to have trouble interacting with others, and has a soft, subdued sounding voice. Being treated kindly appears to make her feel awkward. These illusions would vanish if one gets to get to know her better. Though she tends to speak in short, soft sentences it is with the bluntest of words. If someone is acting stupid, she isn't going to try and spare their feelings, she is going to offer them only two words "You're stupid." If pressed to explain herself, she might offer a more wordy response to talk about exactly what she found stupid, otherwise it is enough for her to simply say what she thought.
She is also intelligent. She is aware that most people aren't going to see her as anything but a child. She has learned to use this to her advantage. She is perfectly capable of playing the role of the 'good girl', of acting exactly like what a casual glance might make her out to be. It is a large part of how she managed to keep herself disguised, despite her distinctive look, in a world that was hunting for her. No one would suspect the cute, withdrawn polite girl of being the internationally wanted assassin, after all!

She seems to delight in teasing people when she can get away with it, just to see what sort of response she gets. There is one particular girl from her home world who is seeking the stone sealed inside of her doll that she enjoys tormenting with the fact she has it. She has no problem threatening her life whenever to two meet, but has no desire to actually end it. She sees her as a 'toy' for her amusement more then as a person. She's even been known to defend this girl simply for the fact that she sees it as her own personal right to harass her and believes no one else has the right. This is a pretty good example of how she might treat someone who catches her interest but not enough for her to actually like them.

However, most of this goes out the window with someone she actually cares about. Although she might seem awkward around someone who treats her with kindness, it is actually because she'd built up such a thick shell against growing attached to another that it is difficult to get her to care about someone. Once you have put a crack in that shell, things are entirely different. You might occasionally get a smile out of her, and she will actually care about what she says to you, as she actually cares about your feelings. In her young life, only one person (someone not currently in the game as of the time of this app) has managed to get her to care about them enough to let her guard down. The way she managed it was actually really simple. She just treated Lieselotte like a friend. Underneath the cruelty and coldness she is just a lonely kid that wishes she had a family. She doesn't admit this to herself, preferring to think that she was strong, but it is the truth. She clings to the life of an assassin because it is all she knows.

Conditional: Personality development in previous game:
Character Plans: I have a few different levels of plans that I would like to carry out. From order of preferred to least preferred: Ultimately I want her to do her work from behind the shadows for one of the companies, I have no preference which one. Once established, I would have her handle her work with as few people as possible finding out who she is. She's learned her lesson from the past and has realized it'll be much easier to hide if everyone doesn't know who she is. If she can get affiliated with one of the companies she would accept her job offers behind heavy levels of hack-proof filtering to avoid being discovered too easily as I want to be able to play her as the unlikely assassin for some time. If I am unable to get affiliated, then I will consider bounty hunter work, with the same 'trying to keep who she is secret' thing. Lastly, I'd like to see her get some actual friends so she has people she cares about, perhaps one day in the distant future even working her way out of the whole criminal thing.

Appearance/PB: Lieselotte, Gier in one of his various forms, and the doll-thing Elfriede: http://safebooru.org/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=330701

First Person Sample

[When the NV turns on, the face of a young girl shows up on the screen. She appears to be settled at a desk in a darkened room. Her youthful face is devoid of any emotion.]

"Don't like this city. Its too small. Too much happens."

[She turns away from the camera, leaning over to pick something up from the floor near her chair. A rather unattractive unpainted wooden doll is lifted into the frame of the camera.

"Sister and I would prefer to go home. When do we get to do that?"

[She lovingly pets the hair on the doll, apparently the 'sister' she was talking about.]

"Don't like it here. Nothing to do. No one I know. Hate it. Someone find a way to leave, and I will be your friend."

[She appears to have said all that was on her mind, as the feed cuts out a few moments after.]

Third Person Sample

The man had run for almost twenty minutes. He was sure he had lost it. The thing that was following him. He didn't know what it was, and he had no intention of trying to find out. All he knew is that it was out to get him. The bleeding cut on his face was proof enough of that. The man stopped to catch his breath, leaning over panting heavily with his hands on his knees. He should have never been out past sirens. There were all sorts of things out here. But whatever that thing had been, it wasn't like anything he'd ever heard of! Unfortunately for him, he was about to find out what it was firsthand.

In the darkness of a nearby alleyway, a pair of crimson eyes, glowing faintly with restrained magic, watched his every move. The eyes owner gave a mental command to the 'thing' which had been chasing the poor man and it, having never lost him to begin with, sprang back into action. The 'creature' was nothing more then a simple wooden ball jointed doll, one that didn't even have legs. It did, however, have fingers that were strong enough to penetrate human flesh. The poor found this out for himself as several strong wooden fingers buried themselves into the back of his leg. He dropped to the knee of his good leg, looking over his shoulder in fright at the thing that had struck him down.

"It must be terrible, being you." The voice, sounding like it has a faint hint of a German accent, is that of a young girl, the girl who in her home world had been internationally feared as the infamous 'Crimson-eyed Puppeteer'. Here, however, she lacked that fame. It had, in some ways, made her job easier. "The one who hired me didn't offer me much for this. Your life. It isn't worth much at all." Lieselotte steps out of the shadow. Upon seeing a child, the man's pain and fear turns to anger. "You? You're the one doing this? Don't you know who I am? I..." He is stunned into silence as the little child dares to simply slap him across the face. Her strength was no more then her small frame would appear to give her, but the sheer audacity of the act was enough to force the man into silence."I know who you are. You are my mark. And I am here to claim you."

A sneer comes to the man's face. For some reason seeing a child as the one after him has made him feel like he had a chance to turn this around, to escape and get some medical attention. That hope lasts about as long as it takes him to try to get onto his good leg only to have it cut out from underneath him. "I am afraid it has to look like you were attacked by a darkness monster. I cannot be gentle with you." A smile, an ever so unpleasant smile, comes to the girl's face. The doll crawls around to the front of the man, leaving tiny little bloody finger marks behind as it does so. "My sister will tend to you." The doll raises a clawed hand and aims it at the man's chest as Lieselotte turns to walk back into the shadows. "Auf wiedersehen."
